La giornata del 3 febbraio si apre con la processione per l'offerta della cera a cui sono presenti oltre che cittadini e turisti, le più alte cariche religiose ed istituzionali della città, concludendosi la sera in Piazza Duomo con il caratteristico e molto atteso spettacolo pirotecnico dei fuochi del 3 febbraio.

Il 4 febbraio la celebrazione inizia all'alba, alle 6 del mattino con la messa dell'aurora in cattedrale, al cui termine la Santa viene portata in processione nel “giro lungo” attorno alla città, preceduta dalle candelore delle arti e dei mestieri.
