Come si cura l'aids?
Ad oggi non esiste una terapia in grado di eradicare completamente l'infezione da HIV. Esistono, però, farmaci antiretrovirali efficaci in grado di controllare la replicazione virale. L'uso di questi farmaci in associazione è la cosiddetta terapia antiretrovirale (ART).
Cosa fare per non prendere l'Aids?
Per ridurre il rischio di trasmissione sessuale dell'Hiv:
- Nei rapporti penetrativi usare il preservativo maschile (condom) o femminile (femidom) in modo corretto, ovvero sin dall'inizio del rapporto.
- Nei rapporti orali usare il preservativo o il dental dam (fazzolettino in lattice, letteralmente "diga dentale").
