Nei primi mesi del 2020, viene annunciato che a partire dal 2021 la scuderia prenderà il nome di Aston Martin F1 Team, dopo l'acquisizione da parte di Lawrence Stroll di alcune quote della casa automobilistica britannica Aston Martin. Viene così abbandonata dopo solo 2 anni la denominazione Racing Point.
