Ovviamente c'è un motivo perché l'Abbazia di San Galgano è senza tetto. Ti sembrerà strano, ma non è solo per il degrado causato dal tempo. Nel 1500 l'Abbazia venne affidata ad un abate commendatario che per ripagare i debiti che aveva decise di vendere il tetto in piombo dell'Abbazia.
